- When X and I began to speak about class, I asked her what she is actually interested in and she said that she was rather unsure that topics interesting to her have any relation to those discussed in class. However, I asked her what specialization she aims to get her degree in and she responded with Business/Strategic Management. We then went on and narrowed down her interests and it turns out the she is interested in and knows a lot about Social Media, Human Resources and Organizational Behavior. While talking about her interests I noticed how our conversation changed and her face lightened up. She talked about her interests so thoughtfully and happily that I had to ask her, why she doesn’t research one of those areas, and within few minutes she had formulated not only a research question, but also determined why she wants to learn more about her topic and explained why it is relevant to others.
